High School

At North Myrtle Beach Christian School our student body receives the typical high school experience with the benefits of a private school setting. Our experienced and qualified teachers utilize the advanced ABeka and Bob Jones University curriculums. Students are challenged in college-like courses to prepare them for their college careers once they graduate. We cater to our high school students in the way we individualize their courses to best suit their needs and requirements. NMBCS helps students enroll in the Horry Georgetown Technical College PACE program for students who qualify to start earning college credits during their high school career. We have a 100% graduation rate and our alumni have a reputation for exceeding our expectations after high school. Our guidance department works with our junior and senior students with college applications. At NMBCS our students have the opportunity to participate in the National Beta Club, Interact Club, and Rotary Club - all of which are exemplary marks on college applications. Aside from academics, we offer our students a variety of sports and clubs. Some of these include drama club, student government, SCISA sports, and more. We believe high school is a pivotal time in life. We hold chapel every Wednesday and all of our students will take a Bible course each year. Our students leave NMBCS with great knowledge, cherished friends, typical high school experiences like homecoming and prom, and most importantly a closer relationship with the Lord.

Core Values and Philosophy of Education

North Myrtle Beach Christian School seeks to spiritually develop students to live for Christ.
NMBCS encourages each student to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to show Christ-like love for others, to exhibit Godly character, to grow in discipleship, and to view service as a high calling.  This biblical worldview will enable students to live effectively in this world. (Proverbs 3:5-6, Matthew 16: 24-26, John 14:6, Philippians 4:8)

North Myrtle Beach Christian School academically prepares students for life.
NMBCS seeks to challenge and inspire students to appreciate learning, think critically, apply knowledge, and grow in wisdom and understanding, with the goal of preparing students to succeed in college and/or career while impacting their world for Jesus Christ. (Proverbs 2:1-11, John 17:15-18)

North Myrtle Beach Christian School assists students in discovering their gifts and abilities.
God has a plan for each student and has designed each one unique to achieve that purpose.  NMBCS strives to help students identify their strengths, weaknesses, passions, and talents, enabling them to fully live out their faith and pursue God’s plan to the fullest.  (Jeremiah 29:11, John 10:10, Ephesians 2:10)

North Myrtle Beach Christian School operates under God’s authority and leadership.
NMBCS follows biblical principles, demonstrates integrity, stewards all available resources, encourages stakeholder participation, exhibits a Christ-like witness, and seeks God’s leading in all matters.  Each Board, faculty, and staff member testifies to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and commits to perform each duty assigned with the utmost of excellence.  (Proverbs 16:9, Matthew 6:33, 1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:23)

North Myrtle Beach Christian School fosters a nurturing environment.
NMBCS strives to cultivate an environment in which each student is valued, nurtured, and loved.  Likewise, each student is taught to respect and love others.  Board, faculty, and staff members are mature Christian role models who strive to carry out their responsibilities with love and effectiveness.  NMBCS partners with parents in the spiritual and educational development of their students, and actively seek parental involvement.  (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, Psalms 78:4, Psalms 133:1, 1 Corinthians 13, Ephesians 4:29)
